A real estate career can begin with a leasing agent license. In Illinois, you must obtain a license in order to work as a residential leasing agent, which is an employee of a real estate broker and engages in licensing activities limited to leasing residential real estate.
LICENSING REQUIREMENTS- +18 years old

- Successfully complete the 15 hour residential leasing agent licensing course.
- Pass the Illinois licensing exam

- Apply to the state for your license
